Behind The Lens

Location

I captured this panoramic image recently in the Dolomites Mountains of Italy.

Time

Our group had gotten up early to capture the sunrise in the Dolomites of Italy. Nature did not disappoint as for a few brief moments, the sky literally exploded with texture and color.

Lighting

Early morning outings can at time be a fickle endeavor. On this particular morning, we were very fortunate as the colors burst forth for a few brief moments.

Equipment

I used a Canon 5DSR and sturdy tripod to capture this panorama series.

Inspiration

I was on a photographic workshop and we explored numerous venues and photographic hot spots over the course of week in the Dolomites of Italy.

Editing

Yes, I definitely do post processing of my RAW images. Mainly use Lightroom Classic and occasionally move over to Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I usually carry a couple of different camera bodies, several backup batteries, select filters, and a selection of lens, depending on what I'm planning on shooting.

Feedback

Sleep depravity is a start to capturing a similar image. You have to be willing to commit to getting to a select location before nature takes over.
