Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from the car park at Martham Health Centre, the view is across the fields at the rear of the building as the sun rises.

Time

This is one of my favourite photos because it reminds me of what I think an African sunrise would look like even though it was taken in the UK. The photo was taken at 08.08 am on the 12th January 2016 Whilst my wife had an appointment at the Health Centre.

Lighting

It was a glorious stormy sunrise and I could not resist taking a photo of the scene.

Equipment

This was a handheld shot on a Nikon D5300 camera, AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5.5.6 GII lens with a Vivitar HD4 mc af 2.2x telephoto converter lens attached, Using UV and CPL filters.

Inspiration

I was inspired by what looked like an African sunrise although it was truthfully a glorious stormy sunrise and I could not resist taking the photo.

Editing

I did very little post processing other than adjusting the exposure and a very small amount of cropping.

In my camera bag

My equipment consists of my Nikon D5300 camera, a selection of lenses, lens cleaning cloth and brush and some filters.

Feedback

Never go out without your camera as you never know when the ideal situation will occur for that great photo. Always be prepared to come home without that great shot but never be down because it didn't happen on that day.
