Behind The Lens

Location

On the south bank of the a River Thames in London

Time

This was around 8pm

Lighting

It was dull and cloudy all day anyway, is I used the wall alongside the river to place the camera on and get a long exposure to compensate for the lighting being so bad

Equipment

I used a canon Eos 650d, with a sigma 10-20mm ultra wide angle lens on , resting camera of the wall.

Inspiration

The nightlife in all London is amazing, the place comes alive from a photography point of view, all those impressive looking buildings and scenes in the day are transformed into something amazing, I only wished I had another whole day down there to get some sights I missed at night...

Editing

I did, this image had a golden hue to it, so I applied a blue tint in Lightroom as I was experimenting to see what other tones looked like, and it just worked.

In my camera bag

Canon Eos 650d, tamron 90mm macro, sigma 10-20mm wide angle, canon 55-250 zoom

Feedback

Yes take a tripod it would be better than a wall, and go to London at night it's just beyond outstanding, a photographers dream. I missed out St Paul's, millennium bridge, battersea power, Westminster abbey - I would sleep all day and spend the whole night taking pictures next time :-)
