Location

I took this photo in the Gulf of Mexico off the back of a cruise ship heading for Cozumel, Mexico.

Time

This photo was taken in the morning time around 7:30

Lighting

I love how fast light can change during storms.

Equipment

For this photo I used a Canon 6D with a Canon 24-105mm f/4L lens on a Three Legged Thing tripod.

Inspiration

I love shooting storms. I love the way the clouds are always changing and different greys that the clouds make. In the photo I love the clouds and how the boat in leaving the bluish trail behind it.

Editing

Yes. I love the Nik Software. On this photo, I used the Color EFex Pro Plug-In using Apple Aperture.

In my camera bag

My 6D with a variety of lenses. I also carry a really nice point and shoot as a back up and for times I don't want to haul around all my lenses.
